A motorist is facing multiple charges after fleeing on foot from a high-speed crash with a semi truck.
The wreck happened on Tuesday, November 14th at approximately 8:30 a.m. in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
According to The Argus Leader, 25-year-old motorist Alando Green was speeding along Interstate 29 north when he caught the attention of a Highway Patrol trooper. The officer tried to pull Green over, but the motorist lost control at the West 12th Street exit and collided with a semi truck.
The impact damaged the front of the sedan and Green fled the scene on foot, leaving one of his shoes behind in the process, witnesses say.
Witness who saw the crash said the man driving the smaller car “ran real fast away from the cops.” His shoe was still on the sidewalk.
