A man without a commercial driver’s license was arrested Monday after overturning a semi truck on a highway in Missouri.

The accident happened on September 3rd at around 10:00 p.m. in Boone County, Missouri.

According to ABC 17 News, 44-year-old Juan M. Gonzales was driving a 2017 Freightliner east on Interstate 70 near mile marker 117 when he suddenly lost control of the vehicle and veered off road, causing it to overturn.

Gonzales suffered minor injuries in the crash and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment but was soon arrested for having a blood alcohol level of .206 percent. Police also discovered that he had already been found guilty of driving under the influence three times in prior cases and did not possess a commercial drivers license.

Gonzales was released from custody on Wednesday, September 5th but is expected to return for his court date, which has not yet been set.

Officials did not disclose whether Gonzales is a United States Citizen.
