A man was airlifted to the hospital Wednesday after getting crushed between a tractor and its trailer.

It happened on Wednesday, October 4th at approximately 4:30 p.m. in Kearny, New Jersey.

According to RLS, rescue crews were called to the 50s block of Harrison Avenue after receiving reports of a man pinned between a tractor and its trailer.

Once emergency personnel arrived, they found that the man had been able to extricate himself from between the tractor and trailer that had somehow shifted to trap the man.

The man was then airlifted to a nearby hospital with serious injuries but in stable condition.

The identity of the man, as well as the details regarding how the incident occurred, are not yet known.

It is not clear whether or not the man was the driver of the truck.
