Some regions of Idaho may experience up to 6 inches of snow beginning Tuesday, May 16th.  The flurry is expected to last through Thursday.

Lower elevation areas in east Idaho could get up to 2 inches of snow starting Tuesday night and eastern Idaho mountain areas could get as many as 6 inches of snow by the end of the week, the Idaho State Journal reports.

Central Idaho mountains are being threatened with a full foot of snow, garnering special weather alerts.

Roads throughout Idaho could be very dangerous if this weather pattern continues, official warn.

According to the National Weather Service, storm weather warnings and advisories have also been issued in Wyoming and Montana, northern Utah, and northern Nevada.
