Donald Alexander was a professional truck driver that absolutely loved his job, hauling freight up and down the I-95 for over 15 years. Tragically, his life was cut short in a multi-vehicle accident recently.
However, his family is keeping his name and legacy alive by helping others who have the same love for the roads to succeed on their path to driving and operating a commercial vehicle for themselves.
Alexander’s family has set up a scholarship in his name, that help students in the Bainbridge State College’s CDL program.
The first person awarded the scholarship, Frederick Speights, who always had a love of big trucks, recently received his commercial driver’s license and is thankful to the man who made his dream come — even though he was never able to meet him.
