An exit ramp is completely closed this morning after a crash ended with a tractor trailer nearly hanging off an overpass.

It happened on Monday, July 31st in Tampa, Florida on Interstate 4 at the Interstate 275 exit ramp at approximately 11:15 a.m.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the semi truck was driving on I-4 west when it lost control and crashed over a barrier wall, landing with its cab hanging off the barrier wall and its trailer stretching across the highway.

All lanes of the I-275 south exit ramp were blocked for at least an hour while crews attempt to right the trailer.

Drivers are advised to take the Selmon Expressway or the Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard as an alternate route into Tampa.
