Four semi trucks were tipped over by high winds along Interstate 80 in Utah on Friday morning.
The semis overturned on the morning of March 2nd near Toole, Utah.
According to KUTV Salt Lake City, the high winds were so strong that the gusts not only flipped four semi trucks traveling along I-80, they also toppled electrical poles, caused radio signal issues, and even detached a carport from a house, forcing the Utah Highway Patrol to close I-80 for all “light, high profile vehicles and semi trucks with empty trailers.”
The ban on high profile, light vehicles stretches along I-80 from the Nevada/Utah border to mile marker 101. It is not clear when the ban will be lifted, but more high winds and heavy snow are expected in the area until Sunday morning, reported Weather Underground.
