A truck filled with pellets, weighing roughly 55 tons, tried to cross the Flottbron bridge in Lidköping, Gagnef, Sweden. The bridge could only carry a max weight of 4 tons.
The driver of the truck was following his GPS which led him to the bridge. When he discovered that his GPS led him astray, he attempted to cross the bridge at full throttle.
Needless to say, the truck didn’t make it across the bridge and sunk in the water below around 8 p.m.. The driver was pulled out safely.
According to news reports in Sweden, it will take a long time before the bridge is fixed and functional again.
