The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) will soon hold two live ‘ELD Question & Answer Session,’ answering questions and concerns about the new electronic logging devices mandate that will take effect in December. However, these sessions will only be capable of hosting an extremely small number of drivers.
Of the millions of drivers potentially affected by the new ELD law, only 200 drivers will be able to register to participate per session.
The sessions are scheduled for July 6th from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and July 13th from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Registered participants will have the option to listen online or over the phone.
Registration for the first Q&A session is already full, but drivers can register for the July 13 session here.
Questions can be emailed in advance to [email protected] or asked during the live sessions.
The FMCSA also has a FAQ page answering frequently asked questions about the ELD mandate, which can be accessed here.
Update: The second sessions is now completely filled according to the FMCSA website.
