Before social networks existed, truck drivers had a network of their own — the CB radio. The requirements to get in? Not a user name and password, but knowledge of the CB slang that dominated the airwaves.
For most ordinary people (non-truck drivers), listening to the trucker CB channels would be the same as listening to a foreign language; completely undecipherable.
Reddit user Shadowjack2112 asked “What’s the most convoluted sentence that would be understood by other truckers but would be incomprehensible to a non trucker?” These are the top five answers that drivers came up with.
The last one is in plain English, unfortunately most car drivers still don’t seem to understand.
Were these sentences as easy to understand as plain English? If so, congratulations, you’re probably a truck driver.
