Officials are searching for a truck driver that disappeared while on his way to work.
60-Year-old Randy Cuddy left his home in Apple Valley, California on August 16th at approximately 11 p.m. and has not been seen or heard from since.
According to Fox News, Cuddy was on his way to pick up his truck 40 miles away, in Fontana, California, as was routine. However, Cuddy never even made it to his truck.
“He just left for work and never showed up,” said Cuddy’s daughter, Terri Scheerer.
The family reported Cuddy missing four days later, and they suspect foul play.
“He’s missed the birth of his grandson and his son’s wedding,” Scheerer said.
“That’s not something he would do. He’s never gone three or four days without contacting us,” said Sheerer.
Cuddy’s family has been searching tirelessly since he went missing.
“We’ve been searching the area day in and day out. We rented a small plane and we found nothing,” Sheerer continued.
“He would never voluntarily leave the area,” she said.
As of Tuesday, September 5th, search efforts have yielded no clues as to the whereabouts of the trucker or the 1993 Buick Park Avenue he left in.
“This is an ongoing investigation and we’re following all leads and tips that we get,” said Detective Bill Doemner with the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station.
Officials are now reaching out to the general public for help in locating Cuddy, who is 6 feet tall and weighs 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a short sleeved button down shirt and glasses.
Despite the family’s suspicions, Doemner stated that “there’s no indication of any foul play.”
Officers are working to gain access to Cuddy’s cell phone records in an attempt to locate him.
“He’s very funny and he’s very kind. We just want him home,” added Scheerer.
Anyone with any information on Randy Cuddy or his whereabouts is urged to call the Valley Sheriff’s Station at 760-248-7655 or 760-552-6800.
