Early last week, a young woman crashed her vehicle into a tree, causing a fire that trapped her inside. Only one passerby stopped to help and comfort the dying woman, but his identity remained a mystery. Now, the victim’s family has found the hero trucker who helped their daughter in her last moments.

Dorothy Marko was driving on Highway 70 outside of Soper, Oklahoma when she crashed into a tree after driving off the road and overcorrecting. Her pickup caught on fire and despite her clothes being burned off, she was able to crawl out of the vehicle with the help of a compassionate trucker.

Marko was flown to a nearby hospital where she died of her injuries.

Following the tragedy, the Marko family began looking for the “angel” who comforted their daughter when they could not.

This weekend, their search paid off. Brenda Marko, mother of Dorothy Marko, posted pictures on Facebook on Saturday of Ohio truck driver Darrell Cloyd, captioned: “To every one that was concerned, I found the truck driver that tried to help my daughter Dorothy Marko.”

“He stopped when no one else would! Bless Him Always,” praised Brenda.

Overwhelmed by the situation, Cloyd said that he had actually taken US Highway 70 by mistake.

Brenda said she hopes that the two can meet up next time Cloyd is in town.
