A box truck hauling cooking oil caught on fire as it was being towed early Friday morning, leading to an impressive fire that left one man burned.

The accident happened on October 11th at around 2:30 a.m. in Rogers County, Oklahoma.

According to News on 6, a wrecker was towing a box truck full of cooking oil west on Highway 412 just east of Catoosa when he noticed the box truck had caught on fire. The tow truck driver then stopped near 269th East Avenue and attempted to quell the fire, but was unable to stop the flames and suffered burns to his hands in the process.

Firefighters were then called and were eventually able to put out the fire as troopers directed traffic off the highway and onto Pine or Admiral roads.

The unnamed tow truck driver was taken to a nearby hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The exact reason for the fire is still under investigation.
