A semi truck lost control and went crashing into a house on Tuesday morning, leading to the arrest of the truck driver due to a previous warrant.
The accident happened on September 25th at around 4:00 a.m. in Bethel, Vermont.
Police say that truck driver Stephen Driscoll was driving his 2019 Peterbilt east on South Main Street when he suddenly “left the road, struck the [four] vehicles, and came to an uncontrolled rest after striking the front of a multi-family housing unit.”
The crash seriously damaged the cars and tractor trailer, but no one was injured in the incident, reported Valley News.
Driscoll was taken to the Gifford Medical Center as a precaution and was then arrested due to an outstanding, unrelated warrant of his in Caledonia County. The nature of the warrant has not been specified.
Police do not believe that speed or alcohol were factors in the crash, which is still under investigation.
