A motorist’s dash cam video has gone viral, showing a near miss with a semi truck on a Canadian highway.
It happened on Wednesday, near Salmon Arm, British Columbia. The footage was captured and posted on Facebook by driver Jonah Jones, who was being the wheel on the recording vehicle.
“I could see two [trucks], one overtaking the other … I could see quite easily the guy wasn’t going to be able to complete the maneuver,” he told reporters. “I just checked to make sure there were no driveways or no one coming up or no one coming up a driveway, pulling out, which would’ve blocked my opportunity to avoid having a head-on.
“I moved over to the right-hand side and managed to avoid it, which was quite good.”
Local police have launched an investigation after viewing the footage.
