A smoking dump truck made it nearly impossible to see on a Missouri highway earlier this week.
The footage was filmed on Highway 54 south in Jefferson City, Missouri.
The video was uploaded by YouTube user specks1983, who posted the following description:
While I was traveling on 54 when I came upon a lot of smoke. Once I got close the smell was very bad. I discovered a dump truck and a pup. I seen the smoke coming out of the stacks. I not sure what happen. But man the smell. My car sinks. Note. I do not own rights to song. It was playing on the car radio.
As several commenters pointed out, the smoke was caused by a runaway engine due to a blown turbo seal. The driver of the truck eventually pulled over. Despite the low visibility, no accidents were reported.
