Wes Malmgren was looking for something flashy when designing his custom rig.

As the son of Bruce Malmgren, the founder of Malmgren Trucking in Utah, you could say that Wes was born into trucking.  Once he graduated college Wes went to work full-time in the family’s business and has been at it ever since.

Wes attended many custom truck shows and developed a passion for custom rigs.  When he came across a damaged 2004 Peterbilt 379, he decided it was time for him to create his own custom rig.

Along with the help of his father, Wes rebuilt damaged truck to a near pristine condition.   Next it was time to pick a design that stood out.

“I wanted something flashy, something that people could see”.  After 3 days of experimenting he decided on a candy green tint that’d be hard to miss.

Perfectly matching the inside of the truck with the exterior was one of the biggest challenges.  Nevertheless, the truck came out great and now the kid born into trucking is a proud owner of a beautiful custom rig.

Great work Wes. That’s a hell of a truck you get there!
