A passenger in the car, 26-year-old Jake H. Hemrick, was killed in the accident.

The driver and another passenger in the car were taken to a nearby hospital in serious condition.

The driver of the truck in front was taken to a nearby hospital with non life threatening injuries. The driver of the truck that struck the sedan was treated for minor injuries on scene.

The 68-year-old truck driver responsible for the crash was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
