
A trucker was rescued from his burning rig by a Border Patrol agent in Texas on Thursday.
The accident happened on July 19th in Laredo, Texas.
According to News 4 San Antonio, Border Patrol Agents responded to a multi-semi truck accident in the northbound lanes of Interstate 35 and discovered one of the truck driver trapped inside his burning rig. Agents then pulled the man from the flames and treated a wound on his face but soon realized he needed more serious medical attention.
Agents then transported the unidentified truck driver to a location where he could be picked up and he was airlifted to a hospital in San Antonio. His current condition is not known.
Laredo Sector Acting Chief Patrol Agent Jason D. Owens released the following statement following the incident:
