If your a trucker and haven’t seen these movies, what the heck are you waiting for?

Below are some of the classic, iconic films that are are a must watch for anyone involved in or fans of the trucking industry.

5. Black Dog

After losing his license due to an accident on the road, Jack Crews (played by Patrick Swayze) reluctantly takes up an off-the-books driving assignment to help with his finances.

When he realizes the cargo in his truck is not what he thought it was it leads to an action packed over the road struggle.

4. Duel

Directed by a young, 23 year-old Steven Spielberg, Duel features a vigilante trucker who decides to chase down a vehicle that attempted to overtake him on a deserted highway.  Both vehicles take part in a thrilling chase to the death that’ll leave you on the edge of your seat throughout the film.

3. White Line Fever

An honest trucker, fresh out the navy, borrows money to buy his own truck.  Only later on does he realize that the people he is in business with are racketeers that want him to smuggle goods on his trips.  He refuses to take part in their illegal schemes and the action begins in this cult classic.

2. Smokey and the Bandit

This critically acclaimed comedy begins when a race car driver makes an $80,000 bet that he can deliver an illegal shipment in record time.  The authorities catch on to him and this leads to a hilarious cat and mouse chase for the ages.

After being harassed by a crooked highway cop, a trucker unites a gang of drivers via CB radio to fight back.  This classic is based on the  1975 song of the same name by C.W. McCall and Chip Davis.
