How cool is this? An 18 wheeling, barbequing rig or “Ba BBQ.” This food truck not only looks good, it smells good!

This one of a kind barbeque kitchen sits on 18 wheels and is owned by the Romberger family. They also own the Romco trucking company in Harrisburg, PA.

Standing 30 feet tall, this meals on wheels kitchen boasts 10 grills, and a wood fueled smoker large enough to cook 300 whole chickens and two big ol’ hogs!

It took them three months to build this beauty. Resembling an erector set, the sides of the trailer come up and the catwalks come down to reveal an open kitchen. Anthony Romberger says the entire setup can be disassembled in less than 60 minutes.

The jet black truck adorned with bright flames, colorful cartoon characters, and long horns draws attention wherever it goes.

“We wanted to turn it into a show.” said Romberger, a Marine veteran of the Iraq War. “Most of the guys who stop by are just amazed we built the largest barbecue truck.”

They designed the rolling restaurant for use at carnivals and sporting events and traveled around the country for a while. But now the truck sits at its permanent location at 128 N. Hershey Road in W. Hanover Twp., and has a permanent sitting area too.

“We tried the tour thing, and it didn’t interest me doing all that traveling. You’re not at home,” Earl Romberger said.
