When a dad showed his dream car, a ’57 Chevrolet Bel Air, to his 8 year old son, the young child made a promise that one day he’d get the car for his dad and make his dream come true.
That little boy never forgot about his promise. Now in his 20s, he shared this heartwarming video on the social networking site, Reddit.com, of him surprising his dad on his 57th birthday with the car that he promised him years ago.
He describes why it was important to him, even after all those years, by saying:
“Growing up, my dad always dreamed of owning a ’57 Chevy Bel-Air. He grew up poor, in a family of seven children. He never thought he would be able to own his dream vehicle, but would talk about it all the time.”
