This footage captured the moments of an unusual towing attempt after a semi flipped on a busy highway.

The incident took place in Tolleson, Arizona on Thursday, June 16.

According to DPS, at around 11:06 a.m., a semi driver lost control, flipped on a ramp from the Loop 101 to I-10, and completely blocked the ramp.

Crews arrived at the scene but were unable to upright the semi due to its awkward position on the ramp.

As seen in the video posted by 12 News, a tow truck attempted to move the big rig away from traffic by dragging it along the road while it was still tipped on its side. The semi was towed for several hundred feet until the tow rope broke.

Traffic along I-10 was delayed until they finally uprighted the big rig.

The truck driver was uninjured.
