A dash cam clip was recently posted online, showing a collision between two tractor trailers. In the clip, uploaded by YouTuber user ‘LookyLoo’, the recording driver is traveling straight on the highway and is struck by a merging vehicle.
Here’s how it happened.
The merging truck can be seen on the right side of the screen.
Instead of yielding to oncoming traffic, the merging vehicle tries to beat the traffic…
…but collides with the recording driver.
That accident was definitely preventable. The video was shared on several other trucking pages and commenters can’t decide on who was in the wrong. Many viewers placed blame on the merging vehicle, but others said the recording truck should have slowed down because the merging truck was already in his lane.
