A truck driver was struck and killed by a motorist on the side of the highway in Pennsylvania on Thursday morning.

The accident happened on August 30th in Bushkill Township, Pennsylvania.

According to The Morning Call News, a semi truck was parked along the right shoulder of Route 33 after breaking down when the truck driver stepped out onto the shoulder to investigate the issue.

As the trucker was walking in the right shoulder, a motorist traveling in the right lane of the highway left their lane and crashed into the trucker, killing him on site.

Information regarding any citations issued to the motorist following the incident has not been released, and the identity of the deceased trucker is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
