Police believe the thief who stole and crashed a semi truck in Kentucky earlier this week has left the area as the search continues.
The incident occurred in and around Campbell County, Kentucky on Tuesday, August 7th but the active search continued into Wednesday.
The suspect initially stole the semi truck from AC Trucking & Warehousing and was tracked via GPS for nearly 100 miles before purposely crashing into other vehicles, including a police cruiser, and fleeing the scene “wet, muddy” and on foot.
The unidentified suspect was last seen Tuesday afternoon in the Camp Springs area just northeast of the crash scene on Highway 27 near Low Gap Road in Alexandria, Kentucky.
Detectives are still investigating the case and the FBI has even offered its assistance, reported USA Today Cincinnati.
The missing suspect is currently facing charges of attempted murder for his deliberate targeting of police cruisers and other vehicles.
