Love’s has opened a new travel stop in Oklahoma that will soon feature an on-site casino.
The truck stop was opened on Thursday, October 19th on Interstate 44 in Newcastle, Oklahoma, but the official ribbon cutting ceremony will be held on Thursday, November 2nd.
According to the Love’s Press Release, the new travel stop is open 24/7 and is located at 235 NW 24th Street. The new location will provide patrons with laundry facilities, 5 showers, and 48 truck parking spaces, and is one of only 3 Love’s Travel Stops to host a Dunkin’ Donuts.
The new travel stop will also feature a Subway, along with a convenience store filled with fresh fruit, gourmet coffee, and snacks. On top of the restaurants and other amenities, the Newcastle truck stop will soon feature an on-site casino, run by the Chickasaw Nation. The casino is set to open by the end of 2017.
“Newcastle is in a great location to serve the high volume of professional drivers who travel Interstate 44 to and from Oklahoma City and beyond,” said Love’s co-CEO, Greg Love.
“We’re happy to provide drivers with access to parking, meals and other driver services close to a metropolitan area.”
At the ribbon cutting ceremony scheduled for the new location in November, Love’s will also be donating $2,000 to the Newcastle Fire Department to use for their annual Christmas charity.
