A reader recently send us this clip, showing a truck driver losing control — and making a great recovery.
The clip was uploaded by Reddit user Hard_at_it, who wrote the following:
The driver says he was traveling at approximately 85 kph (55 mph) and was overtaking a sedan that was traveling at 70 kph when he lost control. He was driving a Peterbilt 579 with a 53′ trailer, with 30,000 pounds in the trailer.
He also shared his recovery advice for others that find themselves in a similar situation:
Although some commentors argued that the situation could have been avoided if he simply reduced his speed, there’s no denying that he did a hell of a job on the recovery.
