When you pay no mind to the height of your haul it’s common that your truck will be damaged in some way. If you truck isn’t damaged, something else will be.

A truck hauling a large oil tank was travelling southbound on Highway #2 near Moose Jaw, Canada, when the oil tank made contact with an overhead sign.

The force of the impact pulled the sign from its place and was carried away by the unaware driver as he continued towards a service road and knocked down 2 power poles.

No one was harmed in the incident and traffic remained unaffected, but the cost in damage reached $125 thousand.

The driver of the semi was charged with a permit violation for being over height. It was also discovered that his log books were not up to date and was he charged with an hours of service violation.
