
A 94-year-old woman crashed into a parked semi truck Wednesday evening after taking her eyes off the road to search for something in her car.
It happened on July 26th, in Hitchcock, Oklahoma at approximately 8:18 p.m.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 94-year-old Charleyne Meier was driving south on County Road 2610 when she began to search for something inside of her vehicle. The car went off the right side of the road and crashed into a 2002 Peterbilt tractor trailer parked on the right shoulder.
The semi truck was unoccupied at the time of the wreck.
Meier was taken to a nearby hospital with head, torso, and leg injuries but seemed to be in a stable condition.
The accident report states that drugs or alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the crash.
