Twenty six people were injured on Monday after a semi truck hauling a flat bed trailer crashed into a bus carrying immigrant workers who were on the way to a construction site.

The incident occurred around 6 a.m. in the morning near mile marker 484 on US 64 in Edgecombe County, North Carolina.

According to ABC-11, the semi truck rear ended the bus full of immigrant workers causing it to overturn, then veered off the road and ended in up in a ditch.

Two people in the bus were seriously injured, the other 24 suffered minor injuries. The truck driver was not injured.

Officials say both drivers will be charged. The truck driver, 31-year-old Aaron Nissim Moore, is expected to be charged with failing to reduce speed to avoid collision.

The bus driver, 29-year-old Manuel Rodrigues, was charged with not having a class B drivers license, which is required to transport 16 or more passengers.
