A woman died yesterday when she crossed the center line and crashed head-on into an oncoming tractor trailer.
It happened on Thursday, June 1st at approximately 9:58 a.m.in Jefferson, New Hampshire on Route 2.
According to the Union Leader, 21-year-old Elizabeth Davis was driving her 2013 Toyota Corolla west on Route 2 when she approached a slight curve in the road. Upon taking the curve, Davis drifted over the center line and into the lane of oncoming traffic.
The Corolla slammed into the front of Christopher Nelson’s 1999 Kenworth semi truck.
Davis sustained serious injuries and died of them at the scene of the accident.
Nelson, the driver of the semi truck, was uninjured.
Route 2 was reduced to one lane for over 5 hours as crews cleaned up debris and cleared the road.
