A tractor trailer plunged off a small embankment and into the front yard of a home off of  Interstate 287 early this morning.

It happened on Friday, September 22nd at approximately 6:10 a.m.in Port Chester, New York.

According to Lohud, the tractor trailer was exiting I-287 and entering the I-95 on-ramp when it lost control on the curve of the ramp and went off the side of the road. The tractor trailer went careening down a small embankment and landed in the front yard of a nearby home, crashing into a tree.

The truck driver was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries. No other injuries were reported.

Firefighters, police, and a tow truck worked to cut away branches that had fallen on top of the big rig.

As of 9:40 a.m. the I-95 on-ramp was down to one lane and eastbound I-287 was slow from exit 10 to the I-95 ramp.
