Close to 2,000 truck drivers who received their CDLs from a third-party tester in Florida are at risk of losing their license if they don’t retake their skills test within 60 days.
An state investigation determined that drivers who were tested by Clarence Davis, of Tampa, Florida, after January 1st, 2012, may not have been properly tested.
Drivers who are affected received the following letter from the Florida Department of Transportation.
The notice states that any driver who fails to successfully complete the required retest by Jaunary 19th, 2016, will have their Commercial Driver License cancelled. The state says drivers will have to pay out-of-pocket for the retests.
