A woman in South Carolina went into an unlocked semi at the Pilot truck stop on Highway 290 and stole a driver’s Garmin GPS device, along with his cellphone.
When the driver got back to his rig, he noticed that his property was missing. After inquiring about it, he was told that a woman was seen leaving the rig.
As he searched the nearby area, 42 year old Tamera Bryant approached the driver offering to sell him…a phone and a GPS unit. They were his own.
To be sure it was his property, he asked the local shop manager to call his cell phone number and the phone the woman was offering to sell him went off.
After the driver recovered his property, he filed a police report. Officers say that Bryant had been previously banned from the truck stop several times.
