A car driver was seriously injured in a wrong-way crash with a semi truck. It happened on Sunday evening on Highway 27 in Lake Wales, Florida.
According to WFLA, Randall Jackson was driving a white Altima on Highway 27. But the driver was headed the wrong way– driving south in a northbound lane in the midst of oncoming traffic.
That’s when Jackson crashed into a semi truck. Officers stated that Jackson attempted to avoid the collision, “however, the driver of the Altima collided with the trailer of the semi and later was ejected from the vehicle.”
Jackson was taken to a hospital and is in critical condition. The truck driver was not reported to be injured.
The incident remains under investigation.
