32-year-old Kamica Winstead Boyd died from injuries she sustained after jumping onto the highway from inside the cab of a moving semi truck on Friday.
The incident occurred on Interstate 65 in Cullman County, Alabama, on the south bound lanes. She was taken to the UAB Medical Center, where she died from her injuries.
According to The Cullman Times, her husband, who was driving the 18-wheeler, told investigators that she jumped out the truck after the two had an argument.
Investigators say the physical evidence found at the scene matches the husband’s narrative, and foul play is not suspected. No charges were filed, but the investigation is still underway.
The two were married in Louisville, Kentucky, less than three weeks prior, on August 21.
