A Texas woman was arrested after pointing a gun at a semi truck while driving drunk with five children in her car.
Accoording to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a truck driver called police after a woman in a black BMW SUV pointed a gun in his direction while driving on Interstate 35 northbound on Wednesday afternoon in San Marcos, Texas.
When they arrived at the scene, police discovered the vehicle in the parking lot of nearby Whataburger restaurant.
An intoxicated 30-year-old woman, Crystal Blancarte, was behind the wheel. Five children, between ages one and eleven, were in the backseat. Police also found a .45 caliber pistol and a stolen laptop in the car.
Local news station WJHL reported that Blancarte was arrested and charged with “five counts of child endangerment, unlawfully carrying a weapon, theft of property and driving with an invalid license.”
Child Protection Services were notified and took custody of the five children. Blancarte is currently being held at Hays County Jail.
