Two people were critically injured in a multi-vehicle crash near Cleveland, Texas, on Friday.

The crash occurred on December 6 on Highway 321 east of Cleveland.

According to local outlet Click2Houston, a truck hauling propane failed to slow as it was approaching stopped traffic, only applying the brakes when the truck was 100 feet from hitting other vehicles.

The propane truck collided with a Dodge pickup and a Ford F-150 pickup, pushing them into a the rear of a second semi truck.

Four people inside the Dodge were injured. Of those four, two were airlifted with critical injuries.

The driver of the Ford F-150 was also hospitalized with a non life-threatening injury.

The crash is under investigation.
