Two women were killed on Sunday morning after crashing into the back of a parked semi truck in Chicago.

The incident happened in the South Deering neighborhood, in Chicago’s far south side, around 4:45 a.m.

According to Chicago Police, the car was traveling south on 10300-block of South Commercial Avenue and drove into a corner on the rear-side of the trailer.  The car became lodged underneath the trailer, killing both occupants of the vehicle.

ABC-7 reported that both victims were 26-years-old.

The driver of the truck was not around when it happened.

An investigation is underway.
