Two highway maintenance workers were injured while performing repairs on Interstate 440 in Tennessee.
The incident occurred on Saturday, at the I-440 / I-65 interchange in Nashville.
According to WKRN, the men were working on the overpass when a semi truck struck the bottom of the scaffolding they were on, causing it to partially detach.
One of the road workers fell off the scaffolding, onto the road below. Both men suffered injuries and were taken to a local hospital.
The crash peeled back the top of the semi’s trailer, but the the driver was not injured.
An investigation is currently underway. No charges have been filed.
