Police are searching for 15 semi-trailers that were stolen from a lot in Hawkins County, Tennessee.
Houston-based Crane Freight reported the theft on February 21st, but says the trailers went missing between November 2016 and January 2017.
Nicholas Tucker, Crane Freight’s operation manager, says the company didn’t report the incident earlier because they thought that company drivers were in possession of the trailers.
The total estimated value of the equipment is $525,000.
“Mr. Tucker stated (that the) cost of each trailer is $35,000,” Hawkins Co. Sheriff’s Deputy Kevin Johnson wrote in his police report. “Also the trailers do not have GPS tracking.”
The trailers were taken off the lot located at 200 AFG Road in Church Hill, Tennessee. All 15 trailers were manufactured by Great Dane Trailers and registered in Tennessee.
The missing trailers have the following plate numbers: U704608, U704619, U704675, U704673, U702008, U707393, U708880, U701482, U707399, U701895, 4528JW, 4432JW, 5103JY, 5025JW, and 4993JW.
Crane Freight was leasing the trailers from Illinois-based Milestone Trailer Leasing.
