Truckers united to honor driver Pedro Morales, who lost his life in the Houston flood last week, on Monday, April 18th.
As seen in the clip posted on Brenda Espino‘s Facebook page, a series of truckers in El Paso, Texas, lined up their vehicles in order to pay tribute to the deceased driver.
El Paso trucker Pedro Morales, 61, was found dead in his submerged 18-wheeler cab on the flooded Sam Houston Parkway off of I-10. Harris County Precinct Sgt. Herber Martinez told WFAA crews that he saw Morales drive directly into the water. Martinez commented that Morales may have endured a medical emergency.
El Paso Times reported that Morales is survived by his wife, son and daughter, son-in-law and two grandchildren. His family said in a statement that, “He is an irreplaceable part of our lives.”
Pedro Morales is just one of at least 8 people who died as a result of the Houston flood.
