We all know that a life on the road can cause us to miss important events and family holidays. Missing Christmas dinner, for many, is one of the realities of being a CDL trucker.

However, a group called ‘Meal for 18 Wheels’ has created a program to encourage people to “adopt a trucker” and deliver a meal to him or her on the road this holiday season. The group was started by the CEO of Missing Truck Driver Alert Network, Kari Fisher.

On Thanksgiving they were able to deliver 31 meals to truckers. The program is growing daily, so far for Christmas over 250 people in 42 states have signed up to bring dinner to truckers this year.

We applaud them for their efforts and thank them for helping deliver a special meal to those who deliver everything else.
