After a truck driver had left his rig in a parking lot, he returned to find it halfway submerged in a pond.
It happened on Wednesday in Mobile Alabama. The driver had just gone inside a Costco to do paperwork for his delivery when he was told that his truck had rolled down a hill. WKRG reported his rig went right into a retaining pond at McGowin Park, off of I-65.
He rushed outside to find that his truck had left the parking spot.
The tractor was partially submerged.
Although the exact cause of the incident wasn’t established, officials believe there was a possible problem with the parking brake.
Crews worked to contain a small diesel fuel spill that leaked into the retainer pond. It will take a few hours to remove the truck from the pond. Traffic has not been affected by the incident.
