A truck driver was saved by a FEMA rescue team after his rig was swept into a flooded North Carolina highway on Sunday afternoon.
The truck was swept into deep flood water on U.S. 301, near Tom Starling Road, in Hope Mills, North Carolina. According to the rescue team, the driver was “cold to the touch,” but awake when they arrived.
Witness Genesha Ford, described what she saw to the Fayetteville Observer. “I saw the truck come around the curve, and he tried to continue, then backed up and got stuck,” she said.
The driver is expected to make a full recovery.
