A truck driver was injured when he crashed a tractor trailer into a house and severa vehicles. It happened on Tuesday around 10 a.m. on the 4100 block of Horseshoe Pike in Honey Brook, Pennsylvania.
Initial reports indicated that the driver was carrying a load of cement blocks when he lost control, drove over a curb, ran into a car and two trailers before crashing into a house. But a later report increased the numbers to three cars and nine trailers affected by the collision.
Chief Patrick Ely explained, “It appears the driver went into some sort of coughing fit, and the next thing he knew he was in the crash.”
The collision took out the whole front of the house.
WFMZ reported that the house was vacant at the time of the crash, except for the family’s dog who wasn’t harmed.
The truck driver suffered a minor head injury but is expected to recover. He was taken to a hospital for treatment. No one else was injured.
Crews spent hours removing the semi truck from the wreckage.
