Golden, Colorado (5/16/2014) — While hauling a load of paper, Kevin Beaulieu of Knight Transportation, lost control of his truck when his breaks malfunctioned. He immediately put the safety of others to mind, alerting other drivers of his truck’s brake failure on the CB, and then trying to stop the truck by steering it into the median on I-70.

After colliding with the median however, the truck tumbled 40 feet drop down an embankment. Completely wrecked, the only way for safety responders to remove the driver was to chop the truck into pieces. Although his vehicle was put to rest, after a trip to the hospital Kevin Beaulieu was dismissed in good condition.

He may have sacrificed his load in the drop, but in the process could have saved a load of lives.
