
A Maryland highway was shut down after a truck fell off a highway on Tuesday morning. It happened around 9 a.m. on the northbound lanes of Route 15, near 7th street, in Frederick, Maryland.
The cab of the truck separated from the trailer and came crashing down on the road below, while the the trailer remained on top of the overpass.
Police have not released any information about the cause of the accident, but promptly shut down the highway in response.
The driver of the truck was alert and conscious after the crash and was airlifted to the hospital. His name has not been released.
1 northbound lane has since reopened, but Frederick Police warned of heavy traffic delays in the area.
