
A truck driver was sentenced to 30 months in prison for a road rage shooting which occurred in December.
On December 8th 2015, 51-year-old truck driver Harold Baker, of Kentucky, became agitated while driving near a Volvo tractor trailer on Interstate 75 near Tripp City, Ohio. Baker then rolled down his passenger side window and fired one shot into the driver’s side door of the Volvo truck.
According to The Daily Call, the driver of the Volvo stopped and called police. Both men were arrested, however the Michigan-based Volvo driver was released after questioning.
When asked about the shooting, Baker told Ohio State Police that he shot at the Volvo truck because it had “too many lights and was blinding everyone.” He was initially charged with felonious assault and improper handling in a motor vehicle
On April 4th, Baker was found guilty on charges of third degree attempted felony assault and improper firing of a gun inside a motor vehicle, and was sentenced to 30 months in jail.
